Lego doesn't compare
"My shelf is getting crowded! Brick War blows Lego out of the water for military kits. The parts have that perfect 'snap' fit and don't feel flimsy. You can tell these guys don't take shortcuts on the technical gear."

"Bought this to get my son off Fortnite and it actually worked. We spent the afternoon building and talking about real history. Instructions were clear enough for him to lead the build. Heβs already asking for another."

Honestly better than Lego
"Lego feels like a toy, but Brick War is the real deal for history fans. No stickers at all, everything is printed right on the bricks. The ABS plastic feels heavy and high-quality. Definitely not my last build."

The detail is insane
"Blown away by the proportions on the Tiger 1. Itβs refreshing to find a brand that doesnβt 'filter' history; they just get the details right. Solid as a rock and the printed markings look way better than decals."

Overall rating: 4.2 / 5 from 38 reviews.
I would say the experience over all was good, some differences from Lego for sure but if you want a decent quality set of any war vehicles I would definitely recommend this.
I bought the P-51 for my son (a more current member of the 332nd squadron). The plane was a good-looking addition to his other Lego constructions. The fact that planes such as this are not offered by Lego makes access to the purchase a much better acquisition. My son suggested there were some questions about the building instructions and the packaging was surprising. He also noted that some of the elements of the construction felt unstable or weak until the plane was completed; then the set felt secure. Most sets from Lego and other block companies send their products in boxes so receiving the set in an envelope was unanticipated. However, the pieces were complete and of a quality similar to Legos. I believe the purchase was definitely worthwhile.
Initial Impressions & Delivery: I was a bit skeptical at first but excited to get started. Delivery took two weeks from the order date. β
Assembly & Instructions: The instructions were highly clear and easy to follow. Even with some of the trickier, smaller pieces, the build process was incredibly fun and engaging.
βOverall Satisfaction: I chose a smaller model as a trial run, and I love both the assembly process and the final result. β
Product Accuracy/Improvement: The model looks great, but as a historical correction for future iterations: the "Red Tails" were an African American unit from WWII, which should be reflected accurately in the product description or detailing.
Overall experience: 5/5

Thank you for your review! Weβre glad you enjoyed your set and appreciate your patience with the trickier pieces. It looks like the effort paid off, and weβre happy you still found it cool once completed.

Thank you for the kind words!
Even a maximum size build like this was pretty challenging in places. Both a brain and dexterity workout.
Not for a first timer that's for sure. The result is good.

Thank you so much for the kind words. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying your set.
This was a fun build! The step by step guide was perfect. I did end up missing two small springs for the landing gear, i emailed them and they are shipping the missing parts. Looks great will add pic later!

I love that I could get a WW2 Jeep and tanks and airplanes. Most brands don't do military stuff. But the bricks were lower quality plastic that made my fingers hurt more than other brands. The pieces didn't give that reassuring "click" when snapping together and did not stay together as easily. Still worth getting for the military themes.
I love the product and think its wicked cool and will continue to buy but my last order i didnt get an email my order was shipped or enroute or even delivered. My p51 came in just a ripped open bag with all of its inner bags thrown about who knows yet if im missing anything and my b17s box was crushed ripped and just wicked unprofessional especially considering i spent 200 dollars on it.
Store owner replied:
Hi there,
First off, thank you so much for the kind words about our products, we're really glad you love them and appreciate your continued support!
I'm genuinely sorry about the experience with your last order. No tracking updates, a ripped bag, and a crushed B-17 box after spending $200 is absolutely not acceptable, and I completely understand your frustration.
Issues like yours are exactly why we're currently switching to a new warehouse and supply chain team. We're not willing to accept this standard of fulfilment, and neither should you.
Please check your P-51 for any missing pieces and let us know. We'll make it right.
Thank you for your patience, better service is on the way.
Best,
The BrickWarII Team
Just one disappointment. Tail rudder not moveable as the F4U Corsairβs is
Wing fitment/locking to the fuselage was really the only issue I had during assembly. Otherwise, the kit is pretty straight forward. Only had one piece that was missing. The piece to attach the propeller to the nose. I cut down an extra gun barrel and press fit. The propeller doesn't spin, but I'm not worried about it.
Many could see this as racist. Markings are of a Tuskegee P-51, famously all African American. Including ground crew and pilots. Iβm sure itβs ignorance, not malice. But please include the option for African American figures.
I love the plane and the design of the blocks. I am confused about why go through the process of making a Red Tail P-51 and not include a black Tuskegee pilot? Would be a 10/10 if not for that mistake.
I think this company is the best alternative to the other more well-known block company. I was surprised with the detail they put into these models. Everything went together great. Some pieces were not as refined as the other block company, but the fact that these are building block toys that look like models is fantastic. All surfaces are smooth, and there are no exposed studs. The P51 was on the easier end of builds, and I still had to pay close attention to the directions. The instruction books are well done, but something about the color change from the previous step to the new step messes with my eyes. The P51 wasn't too bad, but when you get into the bigger sets, I had to put the set down for a while due to eye strain, but that's just me personally. The only complaint I have is waiting for it to arrive. It was fairly quic, but it was international.
