Step 1

HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS

Six steps from joining to getting paid. Here's the full picture.

01
You Applied & Got Accepted

You're in. You've been selected because we think your content has potential. That's the hard part done.

02
You Have a BrickWar Set

You have a BrickWar set — tanks, guns, soldiers, jets. Now it's time to make content with it and start earning.

03
You Make Content & Upload It

Film videos and take photos. Drop everything into your upload folders — links are pinned in your private Discord channel. This guide tells you exactly what to make.

04
We Review & Launch Your Ads

Our team checks your folders every day. Good content goes live as a paid partnership ad on Instagram using your handle. Our ad budget. Your content.

05
You Earn Commission

Every sale from your ads or your personal affiliate link earns you commission. Track it all in your dashboard. Paid to your PayPal every week, automatically.

06
Top Creators Get a Retainer

Consistently strong creators get moved onto a paid retainer — new products every two weeks, a content target, and uncapped commission. We'll reach out when you're ready.

Step 2

YOUR THREE UPLOAD FOLDERS

Your upload links are pinned in your private Discord channel. You have three folders — use the right one for each type of content. It helps our team move fast and get your content live sooner.

🎬
Folder 1
Edited Videos

Your finished, edited videos go here. Reels, TikToks, anything you've already cut. Vertical format (9:16), ideally 30–60 seconds. These are what earn you commission from our ads.

📹
Folder 2
Raw Clips & B-Roll

Unedited footage goes here. Building clips, close-ups, reactions — anything you filmed. Even if you made an edited video, send the raw clips too. We use them to build our own in-house ads.

📸
Folder 3
Images

Photos go here. You holding the set, the finished model on display, close-up detail shots. High quality, well-lit, portrait orientation preferred. Images are also launched as static ads and earn you commission.

What Earns Commission

Edited videos and images earn you commission when we launch them as ads. Raw clips are incredibly valuable to us too — we use every second of footage we can get to build our own in-house content. So please send everything you film. Even 10 seconds of the set sitting on a table is useful. The more you send, the more we can do with it.

Step 3 — Videos

WHAT TO FILM

Think of it like this: you're showing your new set to a friend. That's the energy we want. No script. No fake excitement. Just real, natural content that feels like something you'd actually watch.

You do not have to show your face or talk on camera. Plenty of our best-performing ads are just the set being filmed creatively. But if you're comfortable talking — do it. It performs even better.

Talk to the camera if you're comfortable. Tell us why you like the set. What surprised you? What do you love about it? Even 30 seconds of genuine reaction is gold. But it's not required.
Film yourself building it. Show the pieces, the process, and the finished result. A time-lapse works great here.
Show off the features. Moving tank tracks, detailed minifigures, realistic designs. Get the camera close and show the quality.
Build with someone. Film with a friend, partner, or family member. Just do what you'd naturally do — build it, show it off, talk about it. If you'd do it anyway, film it.
Talk about the real thing. If it's a Tiger tank, talk about the Tiger tank. If it's an AK-47, talk about the AK-47. Your audience loves that.
Show it in different ways. On a shelf, in a diorama, being built, next to other models. The more uses you show, the more people want it.
Make it yours. Wear your uniform. Take it to a gun range. Film it outside. Put it next to your militaria collection. The more creative and real the setting, the better it performs. Check #top-ads in Discord for inspiration.
Mention the gap. LEGO doesn't make military sets, weapons, or realistic vehicles. BrickWar does — and we're 40% cheaper. You can say that. Just never claim we are LEGO or say anything negative about them. Keep it factual: "LEGO doesn't make this. BrickWar does, and it's 40% cheaper."
Can't Edit? No Problem.

If editing isn't your thing, just film a clean, polished one-take video and drop it in the Edited Videos folder. Walk us through the set naturally, as if you're talking to a friend — no cuts needed. If you do edit, always send the raw clips too. And whatever you filmed along the way — close-ups, reactions, the set from different angles — drop all of that in the Raw Clips folder. We use every second.

Filming Basics

HOW TO SET UP YOUR SHOT

Portrait mode only. Hold your phone vertical — 9:16. Never sideways. Our ads run on Instagram and TikTok, which are both vertical. Landscape footage cannot be used.
Fix your phone in place. Use a tripod, prop it against something, or ask someone to hold it steady. Shaky footage is hard to watch and hard to edit. A still camera makes everything look more professional instantly.
Good lighting is everything. Natural light from a window is the best free option. Face the light — don't have it behind you. Avoid filming in dark rooms or with harsh overhead lights. If it looks dark on your screen, it'll look worse in the ad.
Keep the product in frame. The set should always be visible and in focus. Don't let it drift out of shot. If you're talking to camera, hold the set up or have it clearly in the background. The product is the star.
Film in 1080p. Go to your camera settings and make sure you're filming in at least 1080p. This is the sweet spot — high quality without creating huge files. Blurry or pixelated footage will not be approved.
Clean your lens. Sounds obvious, but a smudged lens is one of the most common reasons footage looks soft or blurry. Give it a quick wipe before you start filming.
Tidy your background. You don't need a studio. Just make sure there's nothing distracting behind you. A clean desk, a shelf, or an outdoor setting all work great.
Step 3 — Images

WHAT PHOTOS TO TAKE

Photos are launched as static ads and earn you commission too. There's a huge amount of creative freedom here — the more interesting and real the setting, the better it performs.

You holding the set. Look proud, excited, or impressed. Show your face if you're comfortable. These do really well in ads.
The finished set on display. On a shelf, on a desk, in a diorama. Make it look good.
Mid-build shots. The set half-built, pieces spread out, the instruction book open. Shows people how big the build is.
Close-up detail shots. Moving parts, minifigures, small details. Get the camera right up close and show the quality.
Get creative with the environment. Take it outside. Put it next to your militaria collection. Wear your uniform and hold it. Take the brick gun to a gun range. Set it up on a map with other models. The more real and interesting the setting, the better it does.
Aesthetic shots too. Dark backgrounds, dramatic lighting, cinematic angles. If it looks cool, send it.

The Rules

DO'S AND DON'TS

Keep these in mind every time you make content. Content that breaks these rules will not be approved.

The LEGO Rule — Read This First

You can mention LEGO by name — but only to make a factual comparison. The right way: "LEGO doesn't make military sets. BrickWar does — and we're 40% cheaper." That's fine. What is not fine: claiming BrickWar is LEGO, saying we're affiliated with them, or saying anything negative about LEGO. Keep it factual and positive. Any content that bashes LEGO or implies we're the same brand will be rejected.

Do

  • Film in portrait (vertical) mode — 9:16
  • Film in good lighting — natural light is best
  • Be yourself — talk naturally, not like a script
  • Show the product clearly and close up
  • Send both edited videos AND raw clips
  • Use your code and link in your own posts
  • Ask in Discord if you're stuck for ideas
  • Check #top-ads for inspiration

Don't

  • Claim BrickWar is LEGO or affiliated with them
  • Say anything negative about LEGO
  • Over-script or make it sound fake
  • Film in the dark or in poor lighting
  • Upload blurry or shaky footage
  • Film in landscape (sideways) mode
  • Post content before we've approved it as an ad
Get Ideas

STUCK? ASK THE COMMUNITY.

You're not on your own. There are other creators in the programme filming the same sets. Use that.

#top-ads

We post the best-performing ads in here every week. Watch them. See what style, setting, and tone is working right now. Copy the energy, not the content.

#chat

Drop a message saying what set you have and ask if anyone has ideas. Other creators are in there too — someone might have already filmed the same set and know what works.

Your Private Channel

Drop a specific question in your private channel and we'll get back to you. Just be aware — if lots of people message at the same time, response times will be longer. Check #chat first.
